Helix Opportunity Institute's Cooperative Understanding Program brings groups of individuals from all different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, ages, languages, genders, and functional abilities, to work better together. Our scientifically unique approach blends mindfulness, and emotional intelligence, techniques with biofeedback practices, while opening the human mind to unconditional acceptance, and acting out of kindness. Our relationship building guidance helps individuals form lasting relationships that, not only endure, but thrive, for years, and years to come, both at work and at home.

The Building Back Better Summit, organized by Disability Rights California, is a Virtual Thought Leader Summit that focuses on how to build a new economy with more diversity, equity and inclusion. The content amplifies existing best policies and practices and helps California set an agenda for long-term economic capacity that promotes equitable and sustainable employment of all people with disabilities. It addresses the needs of intersectional communities most impacted by COVID-19 and individuals with intellectual, developmental and other significant disabilities in the competitive labor force.

Unlock the power of human inclusion. Cooperative Understanding recognizes that every human being is unique. Each of us has a distinctive set of sensory and functional capabilities, as well as meaningful life experiences. At the same time, there are ways in which all people are alike. There are essential aspects of the human experience, such as birth, death, love, struggle, and emotion, that are shared by everyone. Corporate cultures that empower all people to engage with their strongest combination of knowledge, senses, and abilities, while also supporting our essential human needs, achieve spectacular results.

Cooperative Understanding transforms this vision into reality by leveraging the best of social psychology, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, appreciative, strengths-based thinking, and neuroplasticity, to deliver harmony at work.

Who should enroll in this program? Anyone, and everyone, that wants to be more inclusive, invite, excite, attract, and meaningfully engage, all people; anyone that wants to improve upon their own human ability, their own well-being, and their relationships with other people, while positively impacting the human ability, well-being, capabilities, and relationships of their team members.
